The topic of self love and why it's the best love you'll ever have isn't talked about NEARLY enough!
Raise your hand if you agree!
Are you raising your hand? I know you are!
So, what is self-love?
Simply put, self-love is the love you have for yourself. It's the love that nurtures you and nourishes your soul. It's the love that extends to the deepest roots and core of your being. It's the love that's vital in your life.
Why is self-love important?
Do you want to love? To be loved by someone? No relationship will flourish if THE RELATIONSHIP YOU HAVE WITH YOURSELF IS UNSUCCESSFUL.
You can never truly love someone if you don't love yourself. Your relationships with others won't be strong, and may crumble otherwise. I'm sure you don't want a crumbling relationship. After all, it's not like it's a block of feta.
Okay, how to love yourself...
Whoa! This is a deep question with a equally thought provoking answer.
Look, you need to look. lol
Look deep into yourself.
All you're searching for lies within yourself. All you desire is rooted in the depths of your being and won't come realized until you sit down with yourself.
Let me ask you a few questions.
Are you proud of yourself?
Are you happy with who you are?
What makes you fulfilled in life?
What are your strengths?
What do you need to improve on?
Sit down and truly think about these answers. Ponder on your thoughts. Even better, write them down in your You Squared planner.
Sometimes, your relationship with yourself might be weak because:
- You aren't confident enough.
- You keep doubting yourself.
- You think there are people that are far better than you and you don't have as much to offer.
- Yada yada yada.
All these are a bunch of excuses.
Look, if you don't like something about yourself, YOU have the power to change it.
One thing is certain. To love yourself, you always have to evolve. You always have to grow. You can't remain stagnant and love yourself in the meantime. It's impossible.
Do you practice self-love? If so, do you have anything to add? Let me know in the comments below!
